About Alexis
My training journey started in around 2007 when I started helping at a local dog club. In 2011 I completed with merit an instructors course with The Dog owners club.
I joined the Pdti (pet dog training instructors) in 2012 (I think) at instructor level and then in 2013 I achieved my advanced practical skills plus my level 5 diploma in canine behaviour and management at Harper Adams university.
I’ve attended many workshops and seminars a long the way including Craig Olgilvie and Russell Becque.
I now run my own weekend workshops on Fearful Over Reactive Dogs. A subject that is very important to me.
I have written 4 simple to follow training books for dog owners on different topics!
I’m have recently passed a course with Dognostics, called ‘Dog Bite prevention educator’ with a hope to work with my local schools and children’s groups on dog body language and how to behave around them.
I have also recently become an accredited dog trainer with the IAABC.
I will continue to attend workshops and seminars and continue educating myself as much as possible.
We never stop learning in our job and I love every part of it.
My hopes for this new course is to share what I’ve learnt, to help others achieve their goals as much as I can and to also learn myself!

About Lyn
Hi I’m Lyn Wilson the other half of the team. My journey began back in 2000 when I set up a dog walking, day care and boarding business, I was fascinated by how different breeds are in the way they learn and interact with us and the world around them. After assisting at some local training classes I attended Writtle College and studied Canine care, training and management. I set up Happy Dogs Training School in North London in 2005 with the aim of teaching pet dog life skills and responsible ownership. My business grew and I went on to gain my level 2 in instructing with the BIPDT and my advanced with the PDTI, on my journey I also qualified as an Agility, Hoopers and Scent instructor.
In 2015 we moved to new premises at Elmtree Country Club an amazing venue which allowed myself, my team of instructors and guest trainers to offer classes and workshops in all the dog activities.
I semiretired to Dorset 2 years ago and now help out at a local club and run my own classes in Hoopers, Parkour and scent.
This year I have attended a Conservation water detection course, Dog activity weekend and taken up Mantrailing with my own dog Muppet a wcs. I have also become an assessor for Therapy Dogs Nationwide and tutored on the Pdti course, I also organised a sharing skills weekend here in Dorset for fellow Instructors.
As Alexis said we never stop learning, dog training for me is a passion and I look forward to sharing our vast knowledge with you on the course to help you start your own exciting journey.
